From 1st January 2021, United Kingdom Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking replaced CE Marking that was previously used on products within the European Economic Area (EEA). Just as with CE Marking, UKCA exists to demonstrate standards of conformity among relevant products.
Hatch Engineering Ltd are proud to inform all of our existing and potential customers that we are fully compliant and certified to carry the UKCA marking. We employ the services of a Nominated Body who audits our systems and issues certification of accreditation.
The UK designated standard covering fabricated structural steelwork is BS EN 1090-1, which is identical to the current European harmonised standard. All fabricated structural steelwork being delivered to a construction site in GB must be UKCA marked (or CE marked until 31 December 2021) against BS EN 1090-1.
We are proud to be one of only a few companies in Kent to have completed and maintained this accreditation – proving once again our commitment to excellence in both the quality of our work and our level of customer service.
